Complete Finished Knives
Pelletizing Knives for Underwater Pelletizing Systems
JINFENG manufactures complete pelletizing knives ready for installation in underwater pelletizing systems. Knives are customized from customer drawings, samples, mounting dimensions, polymer information, and operating conditions.
Complete Pelletizing Knives
Our team can assess an existing knife, dimensional data, or a related cutter hub to define the required interfaces and supply scope.
The supplied product is a finished pelletizing knife with the geometry and mounting features required for installation. Customers may refer to these components as pelletizer knives, pelletizing knives, or pelletizer blades; JINFENG supplies complete pelletizing knives rather than individual blades.
Knives can be supplied in the quantity required for the customer's cutter assembly. Pelletizer shafts and complete rotor assemblies are outside the current supply scope.
Customized from Drawings or Samples
A knife inquiry can begin with an existing drawing, a physical sample, or clear dimensional information. The assessment typically considers:
- Overall dimensions
- Mounting and locating features
- Working-area geometry
- Required quantity
- Equipment information for component identification
- Polymer and operating conditions
- Material and hardness requirements shown on the drawing
- Inspection or documentation requirements
When a sample is provided, it can be evaluated together with the available equipment and operating information. The final configuration is agreed after the relevant interfaces and requirements have been established.
Working-Area Material Options
Material selection for the working area depends on the component design and operating requirements. Available working-area material systems include:
- Ferro-Titanit® Nikro 128
- Ferro-Titanit® Nikro 143
- JINFENG proprietary nickel-based titanium-carbide cermet (TiC cermet)
The detailed composition of JINFENG's proprietary TiC cermet is not disclosed. Material selection should be matched to the drawing and the operating information supplied for the application.
Hardness by Material and Working Area
Hardness values apply to the identified working-area material, not to the complete knife:
- Ferro-Titanit® Nikro 128 working area: 56–64 HRC
- Ferro-Titanit® Nikro 143 working area: 56–64 HRC
- JINFENG proprietary nickel-based TiC cermet working area: 56–65 HRC
For Nikro 128 and Nikro 143, the commonly used control target is 58–62 HRC when the customer has no special requirement. Rockwell C hardness (HRC) requirements are matched to the material callout and the relevant working area.
Manufacturing Capabilities
JINFENG's in-house manufacturing capabilities include CNC machining, grinding, vacuum brazing, and heat treatment. The manufacturing route is selected according to the knife design, material system, and agreed order requirements.
Drawings and samples are checked before production so that mounting features, working areas, and inspection points can be identified clearly.
Inspection for Pelletizer Knives
Inspection for pelletizer knives is based on the drawing and order requirements. Relevant in-house capabilities include:
- Dimensional inspection
- Hardness testing
- Surface inspection
Customers should identify any required inspection points or documentation with the inquiry. Die-hole inspection and heating-channel pressure testing apply to relevant die plate work and are described on the Quality Control page.
Pelletizer Cutter Hubs
A pelletizer cutter hub is the circular hub or disc that carries multiple pelletizing knives. It connects to the pelletizer shaft and positions the knives relative to the die plate.
JINFENG can manufacture cutter hubs from customer drawings or evaluate an existing sample. Cutter hubs may be supplied separately or together with finished pelletizing knives. Drawings, dimensions, shaft-interface details, knife positions, and operating conditions are used to verify the required configuration.
Information to Send with Your Inquiry
For pelletizing knives, please send:
- Knife drawing or clear dimensions
- Photos of the complete knife and mounting features
- Sample availability
- Required quantity
- Equipment manufacturer and model for identification
- Polymer and operating information
- Material, hardness, inspection, or documentation requirements
For a cutter hub, also include the shaft connection, mounting interfaces, number and position of knives, and any available hub drawing or sample information.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can you manufacture pelletizer knives from a sample?
Yes. A sample can be evaluated with the available dimensions, equipment information, polymer, and operating conditions.
Do you supply individual blades separately?
JINFENG supplies complete pelletizing knives ready for installation rather than individual blades.
Can you supply the knives and cutter hub together?
Yes. Finished pelletizing knives and a customized cutter hub can be supplied together after the drawings, interfaces, and required knife positions have been evaluated.
What information is needed to check whether a knife or cutter hub fits my equipment?
Please provide the drawing, dimensions, mounting interfaces, equipment information, photographs, and relevant operating conditions. Equipment brand or model alone is not enough to define the required component.
