Drawing-Based Inspection
Quality Control for Pelletizing Components
JINFENG defines inspection requirements from the component drawing, material requirements, and order specifications. The inspection scope is matched to the product, including pelletizing die plates, pelletizer knives, and cutter hubs.
In-house inspection
- Dimensional inspection
- Hardness testing
- Die-hole inspection
- Surface inspection
- Heating-channel pressure testing
When required, ultrasonic testing can be arranged through a qualified third-party inspection provider.
Inspection Based on Drawings and Order Requirements
Customers can identify critical dimensions, required inspection points, and documentation needs during the inquiry stage. Tolerances, test conditions, and acceptance requirements are agreed for the individual order.
The drawing provides the reference for dimensional features, interfaces, working areas, and inspection points. When a sample is used, available dimensional and equipment information helps define the inspection scope.
Any customer-specific inspection method or documentation requirement should be included with the request for quotation. This allows the applicable work to be defined before the order is finalized.
Dimensional Inspection
JINFENG performs in-house dimensional inspection for relevant pelletizing components. The inspection points are selected from the drawing and may include overall dimensions, mounting features, locating surfaces, and other specified interfaces.
Hardness Testing
JINFENG has in-house equipment for Rockwell C (HRC) hardness testing. The applicable material, working area and hardness requirement are defined for each order.
For pelletizer knives, any published hardness range is tied to the identified working-area material. Customers should include special hardness requirements in the drawing or inquiry.
Die-Hole and Surface Inspection for Die Plates
For die plate projects, in-house inspection capabilities include die-hole inspection and surface inspection. The features to be checked are identified from the die plate drawing and the agreed order requirements.
Surface inspection may also be applied to other pelletizing components when it is relevant to the specified part and working area.
Heating-Channel Pressure Testing
JINFENG performs heating-channel pressure testing for relevant die plate work. The test object and required conditions are defined according to the component and the order requirements.
Customers with a specified test method or acceptance requirement should provide it during the inquiry stage for technical evaluation.
Inspection of Pelletizer Knives and Cutter Hubs
Pelletizer knife inspection may include dimensional inspection, hardness testing, and surface inspection according to the drawing and material requirements.
For cutter hubs, the inspection scope is developed around the hub dimensions, shaft connection, mounting interfaces, and knife-position features shown on the drawing.
Third-Party Ultrasonic Testing
Ultrasonic testing (UT) can be arranged through a qualified third-party inspection provider when required for a project. The required scope should be identified with the inquiry so that third-party involvement can be coordinated with the order.
Information to Specify with Your Inquiry
Please include the inspection information relevant to your component:
- Product drawing and revision
- Critical dimensions or interfaces
- Material and working-area requirements
- Required inspection methods
- Third-party inspection requirements, if any
- Documentation requested with the order
- Customer-specific acceptance requirements
Frequently Asked Questions
Are the same inspections used for every component?
The inspection scope is selected according to the component drawing, material requirements, and order specifications.
Can ultrasonic testing be arranged?
Yes. UT can be arranged through a qualified third-party inspection provider when required for the project.
When should inspection documentation be requested?
Please identify documentation requirements during the inquiry stage so that the available scope can be defined before quotation.
